Since enacting the Customs Modernization Act, Customs and Border
Protection (CBP) has been striving to promote the complete filing of
paperless, electronic entry packages for as many commodities as possible.
The Remote Location Filing Prototype (RLF) and Electronic Invoice Program
(EIP) are two electronic entry programs currently being offered by CBP for
formal and informal entries. Both programs facilitate a completely paperless
entry process. Invoice and entry information is electronically transmitted
to CBP prior to the arrival of the freight. When the carrier arrives at the
designated release port, all information is available and accessed
electronically by CBP, speeding the release and entry process.
Shipments eligible to participate in the RLF and/or the EIP program(s) must
be suitable for CBP paperless handling. Excluded shipments include, but are
not limited to, commodities subject to import quotas, antidumping or
countervailing duties, TIB's, and entry transactions covered by single entry
bonds.
BCB International, Inc. is a CBP approved Filer for participation in the
Remote Prototype Two of CBP Remote Location Filing program. BCB is currently
operational in many participating Remote Location Filing Ports throughout
the United States.
BCB's RLF/EIP team is currently available Monday-Friday 7:30am - 12 midnight
to process your pre-arrival processing requests.
